ImageRights' Response to USCO's Inquiry on AI and Copyright
We have submitted a comprehensive response to the U.S. Copyright Office's Notice of Inquiry regarding Artificial Intelligence and Copyright. As a leader in protecting and managing copyrighted works since 2009, we have registered over 1.3 million images for artists and photographers worldwide.
In our response, we highlighted the transformative potential of generative AI, while also expressing concern over the risks it poses to copyright holders, especially in photography and digital art. Emphasizing the need for AI models to respect copyright, advocating for lawful content use, transparency in training models, and fair compensation for creators.
